Maruti Swift Parade to be organized in Chennai, Gurgaon and Mumbai
Maruti India, the country's largest car maker, is all set to add its name in the Guinness book of world records with organizing a series of car parades across the country on May 30th, on the occasion of 5th anniversary of its most popular premium hatch-back Maruti Swift in India. In this parade, the company is inviting Maruti Swift owners from different Indian cities to gather in high numbers and make it one of the largest car parades ever held.
The company is aiming to gather around 500 customers with their respective Swift models at pre-decided locations in Chennai, Gurgaon and Mumbai. The customers from these cities can register their name by sending the contact details (customer name, mobile number) to swiftbymaruti@gmail.com or sms to 53636.
Maruti Swift is the best selling premium hatchback in the Indian market and it has crossed the mark of 4.5 lakh in just five years period, which is also a record in itself. However, the high demand it enjoying since last five years, is not seems to be going down, taking into consideration its long waiting period of 2 to 4 months, in India.
The company had managed to sell about 61,200 units the Swift model in the first year of its launch in India, crossing the previously set target of 50,000 units, by a good margin. The Swift model is among one of the most sought-after models in not only India but also in many foreign markets including Denmark, where Swift had topped the chart in year 2006, and is among top three since then.
