The vehicle is based on 2012’s XA Alpha compact SUV concept and it's very much evident from the SUV’s roof line and greenhouse (window lines). And not-to-miss the greenhouse is also very much similar to the Swift. These spy shots also reveal that the Ford EcoSport rival will get all-around body cladding, XA-Alpha-esque multi-slat grille, roof-integrated spoiler, and probably 15-16-inch wheels. Moreover, unlike the XA Alpha concept, YBA get a third quarter window while the design also features subtle resemblance from the new Suzuki Vitara.

About the Mechanicals, there will be regular Suzuki motors in YBA, which are also powering other cars right now - the 1.2-liter K12B naturally aspirated 4-cylinder petrol along with Fiat-sourced 1.3-liter Multi-Jet. While expected ones are recently introduced engines, like, the 1.0-liter direct-injected turbocharged petrol, they call it - BoosterJet along with the Maruti’s own 1.5-liter diesel or else the 1.5-liter Multi-Jet which Fiat is reportedly developing specifically for India.
