Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Petrol Variants And Colour Options Revealed Ahead Of Launch
It will continue to be offered in four variants: Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha

Maruti is set to launch the S-Cross petrol on August 5. The carmaker has already opened pre-bookings at Nexa dealerships and online for a token amount of Rs 11,000. The variant-wise details of the new S-Cross have been revealed ahead of the price announcement. .
While the BS4 model was offered with a 1.3-litre diesel engine (90PS/200Nm) only mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, the BS6 S-Cross will be offered with a 1.5-litre petrol engine (105PS/138Nm) only with mild-hybrid tech. This is the same unit that’s offered on the facelifted Vitara Brezza as well as other Nexa models such as the XL6 and Ciaz. It gets a 5-speed manual as standard while a 4-speed automatic will also be on offer. The automatic gearbox will be available with all variants except for the base-spec Sigma.

Maruti will offer the S-Cross petrol with its latest 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system (sans connected car tech). The Maruti crossover doesn’t feature any cosmetic updates or added comforts as this is just an engine upgrade and not a facelift. This means it will continue to sport the same LED projector headlamps, cruise control, and 16-inch alloy wheels. It will also be offered in the same five colour options as before: blue, brown, grey, white, and silver.
The BS6 S-Cross is expected to be priced from Rs 8.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Maruti had priced the diesel-powered S-Cross from Rs 8.80 lakh to Rs 11.43 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) but the BS6 petrol-powered model will be more affordable. It will continue to fight it out with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Renault Duster, Mahindra Scorpio and Nissan Kicks. It will also take on the upcoming VW Taigun and Skoda VISION IN SUVs due to arrive in early-2021.
