Maruti feels dimnishing effects due to loss in value of forex
......Maruti Suzuki is a step back of the next profit gained in the end of the third quarter of the year. This profit being Rs 213.5 crore is half of the expected amount Rs. 467 crore. Maruti has shown a decline in the sales by 14 percent drop in volume of units at 1.73 lakh units.

All because of the decrease or losses of forex, Maruti Suzuki is a step back of the next profit gained in the end of the third quarter of the year. This profit being Rs 213.5 crore is half of the expected amount Rs. 467 crore. Maruti has shown a decline in the sales by 14 percent drop in volume of units at 1.73 lakh units. All this was because of the steady sales in the sedans like Dzire ans SX4 all from the period of October to December. While on the other hand sales for all other incoming cars kept on falling continuely.
At this period, a net profit was seen in the company due to the new depriciation policy. Net profit made with the help of this policy was nearly Rs 90 crore. The policy was started since April 2008. Further it was higher provision for depriciation in the new policy which made the profits lowered. All it created a impact of losses on the accounts of foreign exchange of the comapny Maruti Suzuki.
