The Mahindra Vision X concept was unveiled recently alongside three other SUV concepts: Vision T, Vision SXT, and Vision S. Like all other concepts, the Vision X too is based on Mahindra’s new NU IQ platform. Here’s a detailed look at the exterior and interior of this concept in 9 real-life images.

    Front

The Vision X concept sports a closed off grille with 6 vertical slats and a Mahindra’ twin peak’ logo in the centre, all of which has a similar design to the Mahindra XUV 3XO. The hood has muscular contours for a sporty appeal. The LED DRLs look sleek, while the LED headlights are positioned on the bumper, which houses a large air dam with an X-shaped pattern, along with a silver skid plate beneath it.

    Side

In profile, the Vision X’ smooth curves are clearly evident. It rides on 19-inch aero-styled alloy wheels. Keen eyed viewers can also notice the chunky haunch over the rear wheels for a muscular look. A thick gloss black body cladding runs along its length, complemented by silver-finished side skirts.

This concept also boasts flush-type door handles with NFC access for all four doors.

    Rear

The sporty quotient is maintained at the back, and is highlighted by connected LED tail lights. It also gets an extended roof spoiler with brake lights. Lower down, you get a chunky bumper that is finished in black and has a silver skid plate for a contrast look.

    Interior

We also got a glimpse of the interior of the Vision X concept. The dashboard is finished in black and features a 2-spoke steering wheel. But the bigger highlight is the fact that it’s the first Mahindra SUV to feature an integrated curved display setup (one for the infotainment and the other for the digital driver’s display).

The centre AC vents seamlessly merge into the side vents, while the climate control display is positioned below them in two trapezoidal sections.

    Powertrain Details

Mahindra didn’t reveal anything on the powertrain specifications of the Vision X. However, it’s based on Nu IQ platform which is flexible to accommodate different types of powertrain, which means that it is expected to come in both ICE (internal combustion engine) and EV avatars.

    Expected Launch And Rivals

The Mahindra Vision X is expected to be launched either by mid 2028 or by early 2029. Post its launch, it will take on the SUVs like Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Skoda Kylaq.
