Mahindra Thar launch slated for 21st December, priced at Rs 6 to 8 lakh

Mahindra Thar, the look alike of the classic Jeep is entering the Indian auto market on 21st December, with an initial price range of Rs 6 to Rs 8 lakhs initially in the two of most beautiful and most visited tourist destination in India i.e, Rajasthan and Kerala. Mahindra from a long time was planning to introduce the Jeep like SUV Mahindra Thar in India, which already runs in the European and South African auto market.

With the biggest Indian SUV maker bringing the most astound new generation vehicle, Mahindra Thar, is sure to attract all the jeep aficionados. As per the sources, Mahindra & Mahindra manufactured the vehicle only for export but after the success from overseas auto markets, the Indian auto giant planned to bring in the jeep Mahindra Thar in the domestic auto sector as well.

Mahindra Thar will remind the jeep lovers of the robust MM550 and MM540 which comes from the same family of Mahindra. The jeep is manufactured for smooth driving pleasure on bad road conditions such has high altitudes and even in deep valleys. The Mahindra Thar is known for its capacity of crushing the roads and for its strength, toughness and shock bearing capability. This super savvy and sturdy SUV 4x4 drive is loaded with 2.5 litre CRDe powertrain with five speed manual transmission. The Mahindra Thar engine is capacble of generating a power of 105 BHP @ 3800 rpm. The new generation of Mahindra Thar is only designed for a pure off roading experience with an approach angle of 46 degree and departure angle of 30 degree with 200 mm of ground clearance.

The SUV is also comes with various features such as power steering wheel, air condition, powerful diesel engine, independent front suspension and also the stabilizer bars for a great off road experience. The Mahindra Thar will be available in array of colours which complements its looks i.e., Arctic White, Mist Silver, Toreador Red and Black. The re-entry of Mahindra Thar in the Indian auto market will start a new segment which is sure to attract all those who love crushing the gruelling roads.
