Mahindra Great Escape annual 'Invition only' rally ended in Mandawa
The 67th Mahindra Great Escape, India's one of the most looked upon off-roading adventure, recently came to end in Mandawa, Rajasthan. In the event more than 50 Mahindra SUVs swayed on the challenged route. The yearly "Invitation Only" Great Escape received an astounding response from the off roaders who were given a challenging route of 35 km which includes steep inclines and rippling sand dunes.
The event has left every off roading enthusiast asking for more. The rally was an exclusive affair which invited only guests and participants by invitation and saw prominent personalities enjoying Mahindra Spirit of off roading and adventure.
The rally was started by Mr Bhaskar Rao, the Transportation Commissioner- Government of Karnataka in Mandawa. Automobiles included in the event were Mahindra Bolero, Mahindra Scorpio, Mahindra Invader, Mahindra Legend and Mahindra Thar the recently launched SVU Jeep. Each car represents the ruggedness and toughness of the Indian utility cars. Dr Pawan Goenka, President, Automotive Farm Equipment Sectors, Mahindra Mahindra Ltd., also participated in the event. He said that the company was elated to host Annual Great Escape at Mandawa. He further added that Rajasthan is a beautiful state and very popular among the off roaders for its adventure. For many years the event has created a special place in heart of Indian off roading aficionados and this year the rally tested the extremes of man and machine.
Mahindra Great Escape route was found by Mahindra team hand in hand with “With You Hamesha” service team and they made sure that the riders enjoy the event smoothly. After the rally, it followed by a gala dinner, a musical evening and to relish on Rajasthani cuisines. Mahindra Great Escape started as a non competitive event in 1996, which offered the participants to try and test the car's strength. Over the years, the auto company has seen the participation by many Mahindra enthusiast. The rally has measured the length and breadth of India from high hills to deep slashes. In July 2009, Mahindra Great Escape made its Golden Jubilee in one of the most beautiful state of India, Goa. It embarked as the most eventful and extravagant rally for the enthusiast who love exploring tough terrains.
