Jaguars updated XF surfaces at the 2016 Auto Expo
Jaguar has bought the new XF to the 2016 Auto Expo. The automobile offers AWD option for those who want want better handling characteristics in their car.

Jaguar showcased its new XF at the 2016 Auto Expo. Competing with the likes of Audi A6 and BMW 5 series, the new XF is also offered in AWD variant, for those, who want to have a better grip on road. In an all-wheel drive, the entire torque is sent to the rear wheels, but when the grip is lost, it is very much capable of sending a part of it to the front wheels. Apart from this, on sharp turns as well supply of torque is required at front to keep a better control over the vehicle. AWD is employed to keep up with this need. It is already offered in the F-type.
The existing Jaguar XF in India is made from company’s new lightweight aluminum architecture which is comparatively lighter and at the same time strengthens the structure. It also has Dynamic Stability Control, Traction Control, Emergency Brake Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Monitoring, Closing Vehicle Sensing, Reverse Traffic Detection, Traffic Sign Recognition, Adaptive Cruise Control along with driver, passenger, side and curtain airbags.
The sedan is likely to make its way in India with a 2.0 litre 4-cylinder diesel engine. The mill in UK comes in two trims viz. 161 bhp and 178 bhp. While the former is capable of generating a peak torque of 380 Nm, later produces 430 Nm. While the 161 bhp variant takes a uniform 8.7 seconds for doing 0-100 kmph sprint, for 178 bhp it depends on the wheel drive and the transmission deployed. Fastest is the real-wheel drive manual variant which takes 8.0 seconds to accomplish the same. Transmission duties are carried either by 6-speed manual gearbox or 8-speed automatic. AWD is offered only with the more powerful variant.
Jaguar has come to the automobile event with all guns blazing. It has brought the XE and F-Pace with the new-XF to mesmerise the auto enthusiasts.
