Honda Brio success to depend on small cities
Honda Brio, the upcoming compact car from Honda Motors is one of the most anticipated model from the company's stable. To make the car successful, Honda has already started effective marketing techniques. Honda Siel Cars is to extend its roots in smaller cities and towns and work in collaboration with the regional and state run banking institutions to welcome their highly aspired model Honda Brio. The major reason behind these aggressive strategies is to avoid the failure company faced in case of Honda Jazz.
As per the statements made by Mr. Jnaneshwar Sen, the Vice-President of Honda Siel Cars, the company is looking forward to small cities market in order to make the car successful. He said that Honda Brio is a car which will cater to the needs of urban nucleus families along with big families based in small towns.
The expected launch of Honda Brio is in the month of September 2011 and it will come at a price tag of Rs. 5 lakh. The car has been targeted by the company, to the small towns and cities as the model fits perfectly to their needs. Moreover small cities have played a major role in the overall success of domestic auto market by contributing above 30% in the year 2010. If we trace the past strategies of Honda motors, the company has always made the metros and big cities as their target for its cars like Honda Accord, Honda CR-V, Honda Jazz, Honda Civic and Honda City. But this time for Honda Brio, company wants to tap the small city market.
The model is going to give a straight competition to majors like Ford Figo, Maruti Swift and Hyundai i20 and to stand up as a tough competitor, the company is hitting the small cities auto market. The company is looking for alliance with the local banking institution to avail easy finance to the customers. This shows that the Japanese auto major is not leaving any stone unturned to make Honda Brio a successful model.

Dear User, We would like to inform you that as of now the exact price of Honda Brio is not yet disclosed, the car is expected to be launched in September,2011. The car is speculated to come around Rs. 5,00,000 and is expceted to give mileage of 14.0 kmpl in city conditions and 18.0 kmpl on highways. Thanks
I agree with comment of Mr. Gurvinder. Despite of Honda & Japanese excelence, this car can not replace small cars (Maruti Suzuki) in India due to it's price. It should atlease be at Maruti's level. Honda have to reconsider this.
want to compare it with huandai accent diesel (same price band)
