Honda Brio Automatic Launching Next Month: Sources
As we reported earlier that the Honda Cars India is planning to bring in the automatic version of its popular hatchback, the Brio, now our close sources have further confirmed that the Brio AT will be launched in the next month only ie October. Honda which has been going through a bad phase and has been facing a tough time selling its big cars is likely to phase out Accord and Civic soon from the Indian market, will focus on its compact models.

And Brio being one of the top selling vehicles of the company, is soon going to get Automatic transmission to lure more customers during the festive season. The new Brio will have carrying the similar 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine and is likely to get the four-speed automatic transmission gearbox.They have brought the CVT version of the vehicle sometime back in Thailand and has been doing pretty decent over there, so they are certainly wishing to create the same magic in India as well.
As per word on the street, the mid variants of Brio are going to get the AT version, as if they bring the same in top-end, prices will go very high. They have done it before as well, they have had the CVT in the entry level variant of Honda in the past, in fact they have now introduced the Honda City S line in AT.
