The 2025 Kia Carens Clavis debuted a few weeks back and it is going to go on sale tomorrow. The Korean carmaker has already disclosed that the premium MPV will be offered in 7 variants: HTE, HTE (O), HTK, HTK Plus, HTK Plus (O), HTX and HTX Plus. It gets a new SUVish design outside with a lot of rugged and aggressive looking elements, while the interior looks fresh with new amenities including a panoramic sunroof and ADAS. Let us take a look at everything the Kia Carens Clavis has to offer:
Exterior
The Kia Carens Clavis gets sharp-looking three-pod LED headlights enclosed within a triangular housing, which is outlined by sleek inverted V-shaped LED DRLs. These DRLs are not connected by any illuminated bar, unlike most modern day cars. The grille is blanked-off, but the bumper has a rugged black cladding and features a faux silver skid plate.
The rugged black cladding of the bumper is continued to the wheel arches and door which make the MPV look robust and strong. It gets new 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels that look elegant and premium. The Clavis also features silver roof rails and chrome door handles like the Kia Carens sibling.
At the rear, the Carens Clavis gets modern-looking connected LED tail lights, which was missing on the Carens MPV. The rear bumper is finished in black cladding and features a faux skid plate like the front.
The Kia Carens Clavis will be available in 8 monotone hues, including Glacier White Pearl, Imperial Blue, Clear White, Pewter Olive, Aurora Black Pearl, Gravity Gray, Ivory Silver Gloss and Sparkling Silver.
Interior
While the exterior design was rugged and aggressive, the interior looks modern and aesthetic. It gets a navy blue and beige theme like the Hyundai Alcazar and the dashboard features a fabric trim with silver insert that gives a very upmarket feel. It also gets a 2-spoke steering wheel and dual 12.3-inch screens (one for the infotainment and another for driver’s display) like the Syros.
Below the infotainment screen is a touch controlled panel which can multifunction between the air conditioner and infotainment controls at the touch of a button.
It comes with an option between a 6- and a 7-seat layout, where the former gets captain chairs in the middle row and is available only with the fully loaded HTX Plus trim. The seats get a beige leatherette upholstery that looks very premium and makes the cabin feel airy.
