Ford EcoSport Black Titanium Variant Gets Signature Edition at Rs 9.26 lakh

It was not long ago that Ford India went full monty on slashing the prices of its gargantuan Endeavour amid the ongoing festive season in the country. Ford further stepped up its festive game over the weekend by introducing the Signature Edition range of accessories on the Black Titanium variant of its smaller SUV, the Ford EcoSport.

In its new avatar, the EcoSport will be up for grabs at prices starting from Rs 9.26 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Signature Edition range will feature accessories worth up to Rs 37,894, including fitment and painting, according to a press release from the American carmaker.

Having packaged it as a sporty offering, Ford has added a new front bumper along with a fresh set of LED daytime running lamps (DRLs) that run below the fog lamp bezel. The rear also gets a renewed bumper, while contrasting graphics run along the sides of the car.

As you open the doors, you also spot illuminated scuff plates before laying your eye on black vinyl seat covers, stitched with red threads to further accentuate the sporty appeal of the compact SUV.

The EcoSport will be offered with a choice of both petrol and diesel mills in its Black Titanium variant, under the hood. Through the 1.5-litre TDCi diesel engine (100PS) and the 1.5-litre TiVCT petrol engine (112PS), power can be transmitted via either the five-speed manual transmission or Ford’s six-speed dual clutch PowerShift automatic transmission.

Ford also informed that elements in the new signature edition will be dealer-fitted on the EcoSport Black that was launched earlier this year. These would include chunks like the blacked-out moulded headlamps, 16-inch black alloy wheels, black mirror covers, black fog lamp bezel and black roof rails. Ford’s SYNC with AppLink, automatic climate control, and 6-airbags are prominent among other features.
