Fiat Linea: 65 per cent localise
Fiat Linea is having 65 per cent local value proposition. The company is planning to achieve 91 per cent localisation by the first quarter of 2010. Mr. Rajeev Kapoor, President & CEO informed that at the start of production the company had achieved 55% localisation. After four months the company was able to increase it by 10 %.

He said that all our plans were falling in place and they were confident of achieving 86% localisation on the Fiat Linea by the end of this calendar year. The main aim to localise production is to save import duty and pass on the saving to the customer. Also on account of the huge local content the availability of spares at competitive prices much below the competition has brought down the cost of ownership of Fiat cars.
