    Fiat gets a visit by 125 fans from across the country

    Fiat India Automobiles Ltd enjoyed a light moment yesterday (3rd December), when 125 Fiat zealots from various parts of India got together to visit Fiat's facility in Ranjangaon, near Pune. As many as 60 Fiat cars started from Pune which were driven by the car owners who participated in the event from Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Trivandrum, Coimbatore and Pune.

    Mr Rajeev Kapoor, the President & CEO, Fiat India, expressing his views about the assembling of Fiat fans from across country, said that, the Italian auto manufacturer was excited to witness the fan following of Fiat in India. This event is encouraging for the company which showcases the admiration Fiat has, as a car brand in India. He added that, the company hopes to garner more respect for the brand in future.

    The upgraded Ranjangaon plant which is part of FIAL has production capacity of 300,000 engines and 200,000 cars along with 300,000 accessories & parts. At present the unit produces Fiat Palio Stile, Fiat Linea and the Fiat Grande Punto. These car models are well established in the domestic auto market. The unit is also fully loaded to produce 1.3 litre Multijet diesel powertrains and also 1.2 & 1.4 lire Fire gasoline powertrains. Other than Fiat cars production, the facility is equipped to manufacture the Tata's next generation passenger cars. The company has already invested 650 million euros in the Ranjangaon plant and the facility provides 4,000 employment opportunities.

    Fiat Automobiles India Ltd., played a very generous host by escorting each car and then taking them to the factory outlet which is affixed with international standard and state of the art facilities.

    In India, Fiat Group Automobiles S. p. A., (Fiat) is in a joint venture with Tata Motors Ltd. and is known as Fiat India Automobiles Limited (FIAL). The companies are in equal partnership which began in January 02, 1997. In FIAL, 2409 employees work for the company which is situated in the Ranjangaon in Pune, Maharashtra. The definitive deal between the companies for the joint partnership was stamped in 2007, 11th October. The company's board of directors includes five candidates from each Fiat and Tata Motors.

    Since 1899, Fiat has been delivering stylish and technologically advanced vehicles . The company has its operations in more than 190 countries, has 118 research centres, 633 establishments, 203 manufacturing plant and employs as many as 198,000 employees. The company has followed development strategy which includes exploring the international market and focusing on innovation.

    The company has introduced various vehicles in different segments. These are Ferrari and Maserati (the premium luxury sports car), Fiat Group Automobiles (Fiat, Lancia, alfa Romeo and Abath Brands), Iveco (trucks and commercial vehicles), Magneti Marelli (automotive components), CNH (agricultural and construction equipment), Fiat Powertrain Technologies (engines and transmissions), Comau (automated production systems), Teksid (engine blocks, cylinder heads and other components) and Itedi (publishing & communications).

    This is the good experience for FIAT fans. They learn something new technology of FIAT engines / Vehicle. Also they know what is FIAT group. And why they are parches the fiat cars.
