Fiat has discontinued the 76PS diesel version of the Punto EVO and the hatch now comes standard with a more powerful 93PS version of the 1.3-litre Multijet and a new five-inch touchscreen infotainment system

Fiat Punto EVO PowerTech

Fiat India has introduced PowerTech versions of the Punto EVO and the Avventura with added features and a standard 93PS diesel engine. The announcement was made alongside the launch of the Fiat Linea 125 S, which made its debut at the 2016 Indian Auto Expo.  Prices for the PowerTech series start at Rs 6.81 lakh for the Fiat Punto EVO and Rs 7.87 lakh for the Fiat Avventura (ex-showroom New Delhi).

Fiat India has discontinued the 76PS fixed geometry turbocharged version of the Multijet diesel available with the Punto EVO. Now, it will feature the 93PS variable geometry turbocharged version, branded as ‘PowerTech’.  Both the Punto EVO and the Avventura PowerTech versions will be available in three trims – Active, Dynamic, and Emotion. The naturally aspirated 1.2-litre and 1.4-litre petrol engines remain untouched.

Another noticeable change is the addition of a new five-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The unit incorporates Bluetooth, capacitive (soft-touch) touch screen, SD card, USB, navigation powered by ‘Map My India’ and a rear view camera (not sure if the camera comes as standard across the range).

FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) India offers three year/1,00,000km comprehensive warranty with service intervals at every 15,000km.

FCA in INDIA has already LOST focus/importance to Indian market and most importantly buyers. I am very proud owner of FIAT PUNTO vehicle (?) for last seven years, but I have struggled a lot for service, that too in a city like Bangalore. Fiat, right from the beginning, had no focus for after sales service in India. Their service network is pathetic, All service centers, in Bangalore, are same old TATA dealers with name change and very unprofessional and incompetent service centers. There are only three service centers in whole of Bangalore and out of three, AADYA motors (Ebony motors) is most of the time closed due to lack of proper space; it has relocated three times in last three years and every relocation it is closed for 2 months. Service technician’s knowledge is also questionable. You name it, all kinds of malpractices are followed by all three FIAT service centers in Bangalore. All service centers of FIAT are like horse stable. FIAT should see other make service centers (Hyundai, Toyota and even Suzuki, Renault) in Bangalore. They are visually also much better than FIAT. This is the condition of FIAT service in INDIA for last 10 years! FIAT INDIA could not/ do not change this, the result is Indian buyers are shying away from FIAT brand. Today everybody agrees that FIAT vehicles are well engineered in total, but FIAT just do not want to fix their pathetic dealer network for service first and for sales too. FIAT still can change the brand image to better, if they just throw out their ailing dealer network and come out with new and professionally managed dealer network. FIAT INDIA has no future from now if after sales service remains same. FCA India, sales in 2016, in continuously, in downfall to 30% and hence they are giving all sorts of discounts to woo Indian buyers. FCA should understand that SERVICE is main focus which they have lost, and gone are those days in India, when you could fool the buyers by giving some discounts with same old models with shuffling some gimmicks. I am sure that because of BAD SERVICE, upcoming brands from FCA, like JEEP, will NOT have any success in INDIA.

Indeed it is. That's why it is branded as "‘PowerTech".
