Mercedes-Benz launched several products lately and the company will introduce three more products this year. Now, we aren’t sure of which all are the three products, but these will most likely be the S-Class, other variants of the E-Class including the E-Coupe and quite possibly even the CLA.

Mercedes Benz CLA Compact

The Stuttgart-based manufacturer is looking strengthening its current portfolio and even fill the gap in sales that it has been losing out with the entry-level compact SUV that goes missing for the time being. The MFA platform based vehicles will generate good percentage sales for the company and the chances of getting the new CLA are high. As Audi has postponed the launch of the A3 sedan to next year, Mercedes-Benz CLA won’t have any competition for a while and this will give them a head start in this segment too.

The assembly of the GL-Class will commence in September and by this year-end the company will double its plant capacity to 20,000 units. The proceedings to make the A-Class and B-Class as CKD will commence post the GL. Our sources confirm that Force Motors has already begun with the assembly of the GL-Class engines and we will soon see the premium SUV roll out of the Chakan plant.

The company has already introduced the A-Class, B-Class diesel, the E-Class refresh, E63 AMG, G63 AMG and the GL-Class this year. Now, there are three more names that will be added to this line-up. We were expecting that Mercedes-Benz could introduce the 9G-TRONIC on the V6 variants of the E-Class, but that plan doesn’t seem to be a part of Mercedes-Benz India’s current strategy. As the 9G-TRONIC has been engineered for E350 CDI, which is a BlueTec engine and that is Euro VI compliant. But this year, we will see other engine variants of the E-Class.
