Euro NCAP safety test gives top rating to BMW X3
The current generation BMW X3 SUV, had been put through the highly popular NCAP crash test programme and the SUV has scored 5 stars in terms of safety. This means that the new BMW X3 is the safest car ensuring the passengers safety, even if something untoward happens like a crash, for example. The NCAP crash test programme is considered to be the most rigorous crash test conducted in Europe, across the whole world. The rating that ranges between one and five, one star being the lowest in terms of safety and five being the safest vehicle that ensures passengers’ well-being. The new BMW X3 comes with well-defined exteriors and a stable body structure that can take an impact, along its load paths to crumple zones. The impact thus, can be absorbed by mere crumpling of the metal in the hit area that is away from the passenger cabin to ensure maximum safety. Another positive aspect is that the passenger cabin remains unchanged, despite the most horrifying incidents.

The other safety measures taken by the manufacturers are the inclusion of front, side and curtain airbags. The front seat belts come with pretensioners and belt force limiters. The rear seats are made available with ISOFIX systems for attaching the child seats. The other active safety features included in the new generation BMW X3 is Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), that is linked to its all-wheel drive system, Brake assistant, Cornering Brake Control and Dynamic traction control (DTC).
