Honda has officially launched the third generation hatch at a starting price of Rs. 5.30 lac which indeed is identical to its arch rival - Hyundai Elite i20’s starting price! Let’s see how things unfold for new Jazz in the near future, however, the start looks promising this time! Meanwhile, we have compared it with rest of the segment on a spec comparison!
In a nutshell, Jazz offers plenty of best-in-class features compared to its chief competitor - Elite i20, which indeed offers a hefty list of features. And keeping in mind the affinity of people towards touchscreen and infotainment system, Jazz is the only car in this comparison to offer a 6.2-inch touch unit with built-in navigation. And then it's the Magic Seats in the top-end trim which further explore extravagantly its behemoth 354 liters of boot space.
The Magic Seats come with various combinations that let you put in anything from cycle to pot plants! Apart from this, Jazz also misses out on few things like no passive keyless entry and engine push-button start-stop (even Grand i10 and Swift offers it), 16-inch wheels are not offered, Elite i20 and Fiat Punto EVO rides on 16-inch radials. Even the 15-inch radial on the Jazz are skinny at 175 cross-sections. Having said this, Jazz is still a very competitive buy and offers the level of practicality that no other car in the country features!
