If you're planning to book a compact SUV in October 2023, you might encounter long waiting times, especially if you're considering the hybrid options from Maruti-Toyota. The waiting periods for the Korean twins, the Creta and Seltos, are relatively shorter. However, opting for a Volkswagen, Skoda, or even an MG could see you take delivery fairly quickly. So before you book one, have a look at the waiting period of top compact SUVs in India in 20 top cities.

On the other hand, Bengaluru and Surat have the shortest waiting period for the Maruti SUV, at just one month.

However, its rebadged cousin, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, boasts the longest waiting period among all the compact SUVs in the list. In Pune, Chennai, and Patna, customers must endure a wait of up to a year, while in most other cities, Toyota's compact SUV sees an average wait time of eight months.

Getting your hands on the Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq is relatively easy, as both models have an average waiting time of two to three weeks. The Taigun has no waiting period in cities like Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Thane, Indore, and Noida, while the Skoda Kushaq is readily available in New Delhi and Gurgaon.

MG Astor will make you wait for a maximum of up to three months in cities like Gurgaon and Chandigarh, but in many cities like Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune, Kolkata and Coimbatore, there’s no waiting period on MG’s compact SUV.
