BMW X3 to come with all-diesel option?
The German luxury brand BMW seems to be all prepared to launch the new BMW X3 on coming 25th of August. Sources have revealed that the new BMW X3 will be launched with all-diesel variants with 3L inline six turbo diesel engine and 2L diesel mill banishing the petrol engine option completely. The new BMW X3 price is expected to be in the range of Rs 41.2 lakh to Rs 42.2 lakh.

The luxury brand, Volkswagen India was the first automaker to initiate the trend of introducing the all diesel option with Volkswagen Passat sedan early this year eliminating the petrol variant altogether considering the volatile petrol prices. Now, another luxury brand adopts the gist to handle the new shift in the demand for the diesel engine options. Renault India had followed the footsteps of Volkswagen India, with the launch of its Renault Fluence sedan with the diesel engine, which has been reported to be a large traffic puller, while the petrol variant of it was made out to be a premium model. The 2011 BMW X3 crossover is launched with a 2 liter diesel engine producing a maximum power output of 180 Bhp and a maximum torque of 350 Nm. Who might know, if this all diesel new BMW X3 turns out to be a trend-setter in the Indian auto market with diesel cars demand overriding the petrol cars demand.

BMW X3 is hoped to come with lots of advanced technologies bestowed on this dynamic 2011 crossover like Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) to provide a stronger hold on the roads in most difficult situations.
