BMW India announces the opening of OSL Prestige in Bhubaneswar

The leading premium automaker,BMW announced today the opening of its new dealership facility, OSL in Bhubaneshwar. This new dealership at Bhubaneshwar will have the BMW sales and service standards and the same international experience simalar to other BMW dealerships worldwide.

Dr. Andreas Schaaf, the President of BMW India stated that at present they lead the premium car segment in the domestic market and will try to maintain the same position with embarking on the second wave of their market strategy in India. He expressed his pleasure with the opening of OSL Prestige the new BMW dealership in Bhubaneshwar and added that OSL Prestige is their dealership partner in West Bengal as well, this new dealership will strengthen their Phase II for their expansion in India.

This new dealership is located at “The Empire” Hotel at Shahid Nagar and the new service facility is located at Bhanpur in Cuttack. The new workshop is fully equipped and comprises of of three service bays where 10 cars can be serviced in one day. The Managing Director of OSL Prestige, Mr. Charchit Mishra, stated that opening of new dealership is a moment of pride for the team to enhance their relationship with BMW India. He added at BMW dealerships it is their constant endeavour to connect with the valueable customers and prospects across the nation and offer them best in class services and premium quality. He assured to continue this trend in Bhubaneshwar as well.

This dealership will employ 15 people. OSL Prestige has provided its staff intense training in sales management, spare parts , service and business systems at every other dealership to ensure that the valuable customers receive best in class pre and post sales ownership experience. Service engineer's team has also been trained at BMW's trainging centres in Singapore, Malaysia and Germany.

BMW India has its headquarters in the National Capital Region(NCR) in Gurgaon and is a solely owned subsidiary of the BMW Group. BMW has invested around 1.1 billion Rupees in India till september, 2010 and would be increasing the investment amount to 1.8 billion Rupees by 2012. BMW has its manufacturing facility in Chennai(Tamil Nadu) and the development centres for dealerships at all the major metropolitan cities across the nation. The manufacturing facility in Chennai currently produces BMW 3 Series and BMW 5 Series sedans in both diesel and petrol variants. By this year end it will start manufacturing BMW X1 series as well. This plant has got the manufacturing capacity of 5400 units annually and on a single shift basis.
