Audi Q3 S launched at Rs 24.99 lakh, becomes India's most affordable luxury SUV
Audi India has finally launched the price cut version Q3 S in the Indian car market for Rs 24.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Q3 S is basically a stripped down version of the company's cheapest offering Q3, and now it will be the most affordable luxury SUV in the country.
Audi Q3 S will continue to derive its power from the same 2.0-litre diesel engine, but it has been tuned for better fuel efficiency. As against the regular Q3's 174.3bhp, the Q3 S produces 140bhp. The fuel economy too has gone better with the Q3 S, it now returns an impressive 17.71kmpl, while the regular Q3 returns 15.73kmpl. Since it's a low cost version of the Q3, it misses out on some features like Quattro four-wheel drive and automatic transmission gearbox. In spite, Audi Q3 is a front-wheel driven car and the power is transmitted to the wheels via a six-speed manual transmission.
The Q3 S comes equipped with a single frame grille and has reinforced bumpers. The vehicle comes with standard comfort features like cruise control, rear parking sensors, driver information system and voice dialogue system. The Audi Q3 S also has some advanced safety features such as six airbags, electronic stabilization system, electromechanical parking brake and few others.
Audi is assembling the budget Q3 S at its Aurangabad plant from CKD kits in an attempt to cut pricing as much as possible.
