Actress Sridevi Becomes Porsches 100th Customer

One of India's most versatile actresses, Sridevi, became the proud owner of the 100th Porsche to be sold by Porsche India. The brand stands for sportiness and everyday usability, which she said suits her needs perfectly in her daily roles as an actress, mother and homemaker. Sridevi decided for Porsche's SUV, the Cayenne Diesel acts as a sports car, an off-roader, as well as an exclusive vehicle.

The Cayenne Diesel comes home to Sridevi, close on the heels of her comeback on the silver screen. With the car hand-over to her, Porsche India celebrates its 100th delivery since commencing retail operations. Anil Reddi, Director of Porsche India said: "We are very proud to be celebrating a milestone in the short history of Porsche India by delivering the 100th vehicle to Sridevi. It shows us we are on the right track and the brand has a promising future in this country." Boney Kapoor looked indulgently at his wife when she got into her new car. The actress was visibly delighted and said: "I cannot wait to experience the full power of my Porsche Cayenne Diesel. For me, it is the perfect combination of luxury and sportiness."

The Cayenne is a long-range SUV with an impressive turn of speed, combining the sporty attributes with decent fuel economy and power. The 3.0-litre V6 power unit in the Cayenne Diesel delivers a maximum output of 240bhp, accelerating the car from a standstill to 100 kmph in just 7.8 seconds. Top speed is 218 kmph. The model comes as standard with an 8-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission featuring an Auto Start/Stop function.
