2025 Maruti Grand Vitara’s New Delta Plus Base-spec Strong-Hybrid Variant Explained In 10 Images

This new Delta Plus is the new entry-level variant for the Grand Vitara with a strong hybrid powertrain

The Maruti Grand Vitara received a model-year 2025 (MY25) update, which introduced a few new variants in its lineup. One among them is the Delta Plus variant which is the new entry-level offering with the strong-hybrid powertrain option. It makes this powertrain option more affordable by Rs 1.5 lakh, which otherwise was previously offered from the Zeta Plus onwards. We have got hold of some images of this variant and let’s take a closer look at the new Maruti Grand Vitara Delta Plus in the next section.

Front

The fascia of the Maruti Grand Vitara Delta Plus variant sports a black grille outlined by a thick chrome border. The Suzuki logo sits prominently in the grille and it gets the sleek 3-piece LED DRLs that are placed horizontally. The halogen projector headlamps are positioned lower on the bumper in square-shaped housings. The bumper features a silver skid plate.

Side

In the profile, the Maruti Grand Vitara has a clean and upright stance. There’s black body cladding around the squared-off wheel arches to give it a rugged look. The Delta Plus variant rides on 17-inch steel wheels with silver full-wheel covers. The door handles and turn indicator integrated outside rear-view mirrors (ORVMS) are finished in body colour and the roof rails in silver. 

Rear

At the back, the SUV features connected LED tail lamps housed within a separate black casing. The reflectors with integrated turn indicators and reversing lamps are vertically stacked low on either side of the bumper. There is a roof spoiler with an integrated high-mounted stop lamp, whereas the rear bumper has a thick silver skid plate.

The ‘GRAND VITARA’ lettering is positioned just below the Suzuki logo on the tailgate and there's also a 'Hybrid' badging towards the right.

Colour Options

The Delta Plus variant comes with an exclusive Opulent Red hue. It gets five other colour monotone colour options: Nexa Blue, Arctic White, Splendid Silver, Grandeur Grey and Chestnut Brown. It does not get any of the dual-tone options that include white, red and silver paint with a black roof. 

Interior

The Maruti Grand Vitara gets a dual-tone Black and Bordeaux (maroon) interior theme. The dashboard is neatly layered with soft-touch materials and metallic accents, giving it an upmarket feel. The dashboard houses a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Just behind the steering sits a 7-inch digital driver’s display. The driver is greeted with a flat-bottom, tilt and telescopic adjustable 3-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls for the infotainment and cruise control.

The lower centre console includes a front sliding armrest that also has a practical storage compartment. The rear seats are equally focused on passenger comfort with a reclining function and a fold-down centre armrest equipped with cup holders. 

Features & Safety

Other features onboard this variant include auto AC with rear vents, an air purifier, a 4-speaker sound system, footwell lamps, connected car tech, cruise control and keyless entry with push button start/stop. 

Higher variants of the Grand Vitara further come with features like a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats with 8-way power adjustment for the drive side, an air purifier, wireless phone charger, paddle shifters, a 6-speaker sound system and a larger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment.

Its safety suite includes 6 airbags, electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), hill hold assist, ISOFIX child seat anchorages and rear parking camera with sensors. The higher-spec trims get a 360-degree camera and auto-headlamps for added safety.

The overall powertrain offering of the Maruti Grand Vitara is detailed below:

The Delta Plus variant of the Maruti Grand Vitara is powered by a single 1.5-litre strong hybrid engine and front-wheel drivetrain only. With that, it is claimed to have a fuel efficiency of 27.97 kmpl.

Price & Rivals

The Maruti Grand Vitara is priced between Rs 11.42 lakh to Rs 20.68 lakh. If you opt for the Delta Plus variant, it would cost you Rs 16.99 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom, pan-India). 

It rivals other compact SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun,  Skoda Kushaq and MG Astor
