Read on to know how to check if your Amaze is affected

Honda has recalled the 2018 Amaze for inspecting its electric-assist power steering. If you feel that your new Amaze has developed heaviness in the steering wheel and the EPS indicator light has come up on the instrument cluster, your Amaze is one of the affected cars. However, there should be no reason to worry since Honda will, if required, replace the power steering column unit of affected cars after inspection.

Honda says the problem could occur in any of the 7290 Amaze sedans manufactured between 17 April 2018 and 24 May 2018. The inspection and replacement of the EPS column of affected cars will start from 26 July 2018. Owners of the 7290 Amaze cars will be contacted by Honda individually. If you can’t wait for the call and want to immediately know whether your car is a part of the recall campaign or not, you can check it on Honda’s site by mentioning your car’s VIN. The new Amaze was launched in India in May 2018.
