    2012 Mercedes Benz CLS slated to launch on September 8

    Mercedes-Benz is hands- full with lots of events taking place, which now has the launch of the second Generation Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class slated on 8th September, this year. The 2012 Mercedes CLS will be brought into the country as a Completely Built Unit (CBT) and the 2012 Mercedes CLS price is expected to fall in the range of Rs 70 lakhs.

    The Mercedes-Benz CLS is expected to house a 3.5 L, V6 petrol engine that is capable of producing 306 Bhp maximum power output and can make 100 kmph in just 6.1 seconds. The maximum speed that can be attained by the 2012 CLS-Class sedan is 250 kmph. The sedan is likely to challenge the rival Audi A6 in the car market. The company recently launched the new generation Mercedes-Benz C Class in two variants on 1st September, this year. Mercedes-Benz C 200 price for the petrol variant is placed at Rs 29.79 lakhs and Mercedes-Benz C250 price for the diesel variant is tagged at Rs 32.30 lakhs.

    The Mercedes-Benz C Class sedan price is placed competitively to take upon its all time rival BMW's upcoming BMW 3 series sedan that is going to be showcased for the first time in the Frankfurt Motor Show. The petrol variant Mercedes-Benz C200 is affixed with a 1.8 L 4 cylinder engine to wring out 186 Bhp maximum power and 250 Nm peak torque.

    The diesel variant of the sedan is powered by a 2.2 L engine to generate a maximum power of 170 Bhp and maximum torque of 400 Nm. The top variant of the Mercedes C Class diesel also has a 2.2 L engine under its hoods to produce a maximum power of 204 Bhp maximum power and a peak torque of 500 Nm.
