Mercedes to Launch the AMG GT on November 24, 2015
Mercedes-Benz AMG GT, the flagship supercar from the German giant will be launched on November 24, 2015. The two seater supercar can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 3.8 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 305 kmph. These figures are for the India bound model, which is the AMG GT S, the most powerful AMG GT.

The car carries a classic GT car design setup with a long hood and a short seating cockpit. Also, the light setup and the curves remind of a retro supercar. While, on the inside, the AMG GT is nothing less than a aircraft with lots of retro switches and of aluminum trims. Under the hood, it is powered by the newly developed 4.0-litre V8 that is good for 503 bhp (for the AMG GT S).
Apart from these power figures, there are a heck lot of smart engineering that makes this car very fast and responsive. Like the dry sump lubrication system that makes engine sit lower in the bay and thereby lowering the center of gravity, the turbochargers are placed between the two heads so as to make power delivery instantaneous, the dual clutch gearbox is situated over the rear axle so as to keep the weight evenly distributed.

Price of the AMG GT could be well over INR 2.5 crore and it would be rivaling against the Porsche 911 lineup and Jaguar F Type.
Benz is staying true to its plan of bringing in 15 cars by the end of 2015 and this one is their fourteenth and the most high-performance one.
