Jeep C-SUV Might be Unveiled in November 2016
American carmaker, Jeep might showcase its upcoming C-SUV, which has been codenamed- project 551 at the upcoming 2016 Sao Paulo Motor Show. The Latin American auto show will be held in November 2016.

This possibility has been presented by autossegredos.com.br and as the compact SUV is majorly being developed in Brazil, it’s rather befitting that the car will be showcased in Brazil before it makes its way to auto shows across America. Jeep 551 will eventually make its way to India and following the showcase, the car will go into production sometime in 2017.
The upcoming SUV seems to be in the final stages of development, as the car has been spotted making test runs on multiple occasions. The car shares its foundation with the Renegade SUV, which is also offered by Jeep in Brazil but wasn’t included in the company's lineup for India. The SUV will be offered in ethanol and petrol variants in Latin America, whereas the models to be made available in India will only be offered in petrol and diesel options. The rear wheel drive version of this SUV will be manufactured out of FCA India’s Ranjangaon plant.
The luxurious compact SUV will rival its British and German counterparts in terms of quality and power, all the while it is also expected that the car will feature a competitive price tag. Jeep India recently showcased its range of products aimed for the Indian market at the 2016 Indian Auto Expo. The automaker also announced that its operations, which are oriented around the current lineup of models, will start sometime mid 2016. Jeep’s showcase included the Wrangler and Cherokee SUV range.
