India-spec VinFast VF7 And VF6 Variants Revealed Ahead Of Festive Season Launch

VinFast, the Vietnamese electric carmaker, is gearing itself up for its India debut with the VF7 and VF6 eSUVs, the production of which have recently commenced in its manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu. Pre-bookings of both electric models are already underway and now the carmaker has revealed the variants in which both SUVs will be available. Along with this, the carmaker has disclosed the variant-wise exterior and interior colour options of the VF7 and VF6. Here are the details:
VinFast VF7

VinFast will debut in India with the VF7 electric SUV that is expected to be launched this festive season. As per the carmaker’s Indian website, it will be available in three variants in the country:

Notably, the international-spec VF7 is available in only two variants: Eco and Plus.
The India spec-model will be available in 6 colour options, and all hues will be available in all trims. Here are all the colours:

While the exterior colour options are same across trims, the variant-wise interior theme is different.

While the variant-wise feature distribution is yet to be revealed, the VF7 will be equipped with modern-day amenities including a 12.9-inch driver-oriented touchscreen infotainment system and a head-up display for essential driving data in place of a digital driver’s display. It also gets a panoramic glass roof, ventilated front seats, an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and dual-zone auto AC.
In terms of safety, the international-spec model is equipped with up to 8 airbags, 360-degree camera with blind spot monitor and a Level 2 suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) with features like adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist. The India-spec model is expected to have a similar safety suite.
The VF7 will be equipped with a 70.8 kWh battery pack mated to single or dual-motor setup. Here are the details:

The VinFast VF6 will be the carmaker’s next product in India following the VF7 and it will be available in two variants:

Like the VF7, it is available internationally in Eco and Plus trims.
The exterior colour options are the same as the bigger VF7, and the interior theme will vary as per the selected trim.

Its feature and safety suite is also expected to be similar to the bigger VF7, as is the case with the international-spec model.

That said, the VF6 will be equipped with a smaller 59.6 kWh battery pack, the detailed specifications of which are as follows:

Expected Price And Rivals

Prices of the VinFast VF7 are expected to start from Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom). It will take on premium electric SUVs including the BYD Sealion 7, Hyundai Ioniq 5 and BMW iX1 LWB.
The smaller VinFast VF6 prices are expected to start from Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete against popular models like the Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE 6, Hyundai Creta Electric and MG ZS EV.
