At the start of August 2025, the Volkswagen Taigun and Virtus were introduced in a new Flash Red exterior paint option on their GT Line variants in limited numbers. The SUV, in the new colourway, has now arrived at some of Volkswagen’s pan-India dealerships, and we have got our hands on some of its images. So let’s explore it in detail, inside and out:
Front

The new Flash Red paint option looks brighter and more vivid than the Wild Cherry Red shade of the Taigun. Given that it’s based on the GT Line variant, the grille and bumper have been blacked out, which adds a nice contrast to the overall design.
Its LED headlights feature a smoked effect for a sportier appearance. It continues to come with the same set of LED DRLs and halogen fog lamps with cornering function as the standard model.
Side

In profile, you can notice the blacked-out roof rails, ORVMs, and 17-inch alloy wheels. It also has a dark chrome finish on the door handles and ‘GT Line’ badges on the front doors. Do note that this variant in question has a 360-degree camera setup (as evident by the front and ORVM-mounted cameras) that comes as an optional extra and is available as a dealer-level accessory.
Rear

At the back, it comes with a blacked-out roof spoiler and a black treatment for the bumper. It sports the ‘Taigun’ and ‘TSI’ badges on the bootlid (both finished in black) along with the ‘GT Line’ moniker as well.
Cabin

The Volkswagen Taigun GT Line Flash Red has an all-black cabin theme, and it gets grey fabric seat upholstery. Since it’s the GT Line variant, it is seen with red ambient lighting on the dashboard and even the digital driver’s display incorporates red graphics.

You can also notice that the variant pictured has a dashcam, 360-degree camera and puddle lamps setup, both of which are again dealer-level fitted accessories available as optional extras.

In terms of equipment, the Taigun GT Line is equipped with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, a single-pane sunroof, a 6-speaker sound system, and cruise control.
Its safety kit comprises six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), hill-start assist, a reversing camera with rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, rain-sensing wipers, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
