Volkswagen Jetta Petrol and Upgraded Versions to Hit the Showrooms Soon
The grapevines surrounding the launch of petrol variant of the Jetta sedan from the German auto giant Volkswagen has finally found some base as the sources confirm the speculations. The Volkswagen Jetta petrol is expected to be rolled out on the 20th of June 2012. The powertrain anticipated to drive the petrol variant could either be a 1.4-liter TSI engine or a 1.8-liter TSI engine. On one hand the 1.4-liter TSI petrol engine is pretty frugal for the Indian car market but for the cost conscious buyers, Volkswagen India is expected to equip the car with the 1.8-liter TSI petrol engine as it tried, tested and more cost effective.

The 1.8-liter TSI engine is currently doing duty in some cars from Skoda and Audi, which also belong to the Volkswagen Group and this makes this engine the most preferred choice for the petrol avatar of Jetta sedan. Along with bestowing the Jetta sedan with a petrol variant, Volkswagen is also expected to upgrade the current version of the car. The upgraded version might lose the conventional air-conditioner to the newfangled one with climate control. The upgraded top-end variants of VW Jetta are expected to be endowed with the xenon headlamps.
