Toyota ponders to manufacture Etios in Brazil by 2012 end

Toyota Motor Corporations is apparently planning to start manufacturing Toyota Etios sedan in Brazil by the end of 2012. However, Toyota Etios was developed specially for the Indian Auto Market, but now Toyota Motors is thinking to produce this sedan in Brazil too.

In the year of 2010, Toyota Motors told that it will soon develop a plant in Sorocaba, Brazil. And this very plant could manufacture Toyota Etios, which was launched in India with the yearly capacity of around 70,000. The Brazil production plant of Toyota Motors is expected to trigger the production by late 2012. Right now in India, Toyota Motors is in collaboration with Kirloskar Group, which in turn makes it Toyota Kirloskar Motors. Toyota Motors launched Toyota Etios in India in the month of December 2010 and it received raving success. Recently, Toyota Motors has introduced Etios hatchback version, known as Toyota Etios Liva.

Around 4000 engineers put their best efforts in developing Toyota’s Etios sedan. Now Toyota Motors India is keeping its priority towards serving India first and then thinking on exports. Approximately Rs.3200 Crore have already been invested in the 2nd production plant of Toyota Motors in Bangalore that is producing Toyota Etios Sedan car with 1.5 litre of petrol engine and Toyota Etios Liva with 1.2 litre of petrol engine.

The demand for Toyota Etios sedan is seriously sky rocketing and due to this huge demand, Toyota Motors India is all in plan to expand the production capacity of its Bangalore plant from 70,000 units to 1,20,000 units annually. Toyota Motors is all geared up to spice up the auto market with its competitively priced Toyota Etios sedan and hatchback Toyota Etios Liva. All in all with a plan of production plant in Brazil by late 2012 and flourishing success of Toyota’s Etios and Etios Liva in India is helping Toyota Motors to climb the ladder of success with speed.
