The 2011 calendar for Toyota Motors is expected to bring a sales of 8.61 million units as against the 8.37 million in 2010.

The year-on-year analysis shows a hike of 7% during 12 months of the year 2010 which is a good figure to hold. The company managed this good progress in spite of the fact that 2010 brought a tough time for Toyota Motors with recall of millions of units and severe lawsuits going in courts against them.

The bad news for the company will come from its native market where it will face a downfall by 17%. the major reason for this reduced sales is the stress on green cars and the top competition, Prius hybrid in market.

The overseas sales of the Japanese Auto major is expected to increase by 8% which will led to 6.40 million vehicles sold in global market. The company is expecting good response from the overseas markets.

Looking at the upcoming problems in the domestic market, Toyota Motors is planning to cut down the domestic production by 4 per cent and the Japanese production by 5 per cent. The company has taken this bold move to keep a check on the fluctuating demand in future. The company however ha good plans to increase the foreign production by striking 6%.

Toyota Motors is looking forward for the foreign markets specially Asian Auto Market which is growing at tremendous rate. At the same time the company is keeping a low interest in it native market as people are avoiding the car purchase as the maintenance cost has increased tremendously.
