Toyota launches VD & VD SP variants in Etios Liva lineup
Toyota India has launched two new variants of its hatchback Etios Liva in diesel fuel trim. Previously, the Etios Liva line-up used to comprise of 4 variants which are JD, GD, GD SP and TRD Sportivo. The newly introduced variants are named as VD and VD SP (SP referred to Safety Package) and they sit at the top of this lineup. The former is priced at Rs. 6.72 Lakhs while the latter one costs around Rs. 7.12 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi).
As far as interior cabin is concerned, there are a few worth noticing modifications and additions. Both the variants VD and VD SP are being offered with rear defogger, tachometer, AUX-in Bluetooth enabled music system and a wood grain finish on door handles. Furthermore, as reflected by name, the VD SP variant is indulged with various top-notch safety features like dual front airbags, ABS, EBD etc. Introduction of leather-wrapped steering wheel in this variant is icing on the cake.
There are a few mentionable changes in the exterior of both the new variants as they possess a double chrome grille along with turning indicators on wing mirrors. Furthermore, Toyota has blessed both the variants with 12-spoke alloy wheels, which makes their appearance more flamboyant. Toyota has retained the same 1.4-litre D-4D engine in the newer variants too, as it produces a decent power of 67.1bhp at 3800 rpm and a peak torque of 170Nm at 1800-2400 rpm. The entire line-up is being offered with a 5-speed manual transmission and its ARAI certified mileage stands at 23.59kmpl.
