Toyota increases safety checks and features in its cars
Toyota Motors has recently increased its active as well as passive safety features in all its car models which are being introduced in India. The company has even stated that it conducts over nine thousand tests all across its components. Before the final launch of any model, the model goes through a test run which consists of over 100,000 kms.
Toyota Motors‘ active safety features which are applied to its vehicles include characteristics that increase manoeuvrability and driveability of the model. These features also provide the stability to the vehicles at the time of high speed driving. The company is also testing passive safety features like crumple zones or the GOA body which is designed to take maximum shock when there are high effect situations.
Besides conducting tests on its models in India, Toyota also conducts the extensive safety checks all across its models and brands including Lexus. The latest Lexus has got features like Smart Stop technology. This technology provides the vehicle with a quick and orderly stop, avoiding the situation of full-throttle. Even Toyota Yaris, the international model of the company incorporates standard Toyota Star Safety System.
