Toyota Gives Minor Facelift to Etios and Etios Liva; Launching Soon!

Toyota has given a minor nip-&-tuck treatment to the Etios duo; both the vehicles are reportedly launching in couple of days. After the launch, Japanese manufacturer will have updated Etios family, sedan-hatch-duo along with the Etios Cross. Adding to it, the recently launched Cross variant of the Etios has spruced up the low sales of the Etios hatch in the country.

Toyota has given a minor nip--tuck treatment to the Etios duo; both the vehicles are reportedly launching in couple of days. After the launch, Japanese manufacturer will have updated Etios family, sedan-hatch-duo along with the Etios Cross. Adding to it, the recently launched Cross variant of the Etios has spruced up the low sales of the Etios hatch in the country.

Speaking of the changes, major visual update is at the front, the Etios range now features a new grille. Sedan will be offered with a chrome one while the hatch will feature body colored grille. Apart from this, there are no visual alterations to the exteriors of Etios duo. On the inside, both the vehicles sport new premium fabric upholstery, electronically adjustable ORVMs, leather wrapped steering wheel on top trim along with chrome inserts. Driver airbags are reportedly coming standard in the updated range.

As this is a minor facelift, Etios cousins will remain unchanged mechanically. Both the diesel and petrol engines will be carried forward. On the diesel front, Etios range features a 1.4 liter D-4D diesel that generates 67.1bhp @ 3800rpm and 170Nm of max torque @ 1800-2400rpm. Both the cars come mated to a five speed manual unit in diesel with an ARAI certified mileage of 23.59km/l.

Speaking of the petrol motors, the sedan features a naturally aspirated 4-cylinder 1.5 liter unit which produces 88.8bhp @ 5600rpm and 132Nm @ 3000rpm, mated to a five-speed unit delivering 16.78km/l. Hatch, on the other hand offers a 1.2 liter unit mustering 78.9bhp @ 5600rpm and 104Nm of torque at 3100rpm and is coupled to a 5-speed unit delivering 17.71km/l.
