Toyota Etios Liva hatchback launch postponed for some time

The launch of Toyota Etios Liva which was to launch in the month of June this year has been postponed for some time and now this car have to wait till the end of 2012, the news reported by Toyota Kirloskar Motor, Indian subsidiary of Japan based Toyota Motors. As per reports now the sleek baby will come before the end of next year.

Sandeep Singh, deputy managing director, Toyota Kirloskar Motor India said that the launch of the hatchback diesel version of Toyota Etios by the month of June this year, has been stopped for some time and now the car will be launched before end of 2012. Last year, Toyota has launched the sedan Toyota Etios and the demand for the sedan is more than the production. Presently the company has only one facility at Bangalore in which it has the production capacity of 1.5 lakh units annually. And now the company seeks to increase its production capacity from 1.5 to 2.10 lakh units per annum, so Toyota is fully keeping its eyes on increasing the production capacity. After that it will bring this new hatchback in the domestic market.

After launching of Sedan variant of Toyota Etios on December 1st, 2011 within 15 days the company reported 12,000 bookings and in the period of 4 months 30,000 units of the car had been booked but it has managed to deliver more than 8,300 units of the car. So to fill up the gape between demand and delivery the compnay is increasing its production capacity along with postponed of Diesel variant.

The Sedan variant of Toyoa Etios is well performer and getting buzz response in the market. Meanwhile its another car models like Toyota Altis, Toyota Innova and luxury Toyota Fortuner are pushing the sales mark of the company. But you have to wait for this Toyota Etios Liva by the end or send half of next year which expecting an answer to Honda Jazz, Hyundai i20 diesel, Maruti Swift, Tata Indica V2 etc.

The Etios Liva is launching this month end, so expected to be hitting the dealerships by 1st or 2nd week of July for sure.

I am really disappointed due to late launching of LIVA, I am waited for last three months. Pl. tell us is it available in the month of July-2011 in Assam?

The Etios Liva was supposed to be launching in May-June this year but the product is not ready yet and hence the delay in its launch.
