    As revealed by company sources the main reason of delay in launching the car is due to tests related to Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) of the car. The 7 speed CVT will be helpful in making the car more fuel efficient as compared to other cars of the same standards However, according the photos displayed by the company reveals that the new Toyota Corolla Altis has been modified with some specific features. Efforts have been made to make the interiors and exteriors of the new Toyota Corolla Altis more attractive as compared to its antecedent. The new Toyota Corolla Altis has been designed with attractive bumper and appealing headlamps.

    The other major expected changes in the new Toyota Corolla Altis may be introduced in the  steering wheel which may be made up of aluminium. However, the new Toyota Corolla Altis has been upgraded with designer indicators, attractive tail lights, rear view mirrors, sports wheel covers making the new Toyota Corolla Altis looks different from other cars running on the roads. The another major change may be 1.6 litre petrol engine which can be more fuel efficient as compared to other cars of segment. The launch of new Toyota Corolla Altis will increase its competition with Honda City and Volkswagen Vento cars already running on Indian roads.
