Tesla Model Y: Self-Driving Feature
There’s no doubt that Teslas are known for their self-driving capability and the Model Y can be optioned with this party trick. However, this tech doesn’t come cheap as it costs a whopping Rs 6 lakh! That’s the same price as the top-end Maruti Alto K10’s ex-showroom cost.
Tesla’s self-driving system, called Full Self-Driving, uses cameras all around the car to see the road, traffic, people, and signs, just like a human driver would. The Model Y has 8 exterior cameras installed. It then uses computing through its ADAS suite with features like lane keeping and adaptive cruise control to make quick driving decisions, like staying in the lane, keeping a safe distance from other vehicles, changing lanes, stopping at traffic lights, and even parking.
Other Features Safety
The Tesla Model Y is equipped with a range of features, including a large 15.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated and heated front seats, power-reclining second-row seats, an 8-inch second row screen, a powered tailgate, a 9-speaker sound system, ambient lighting, an air purifier, a wireless phone charger, and connected car tech.
For safety, it gets multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, front and rear parking sensors and a built-in dashcam.
Rivals
The Tesla Model Y goes up against strong rivals like the Kia EV6, Hyundai Ioniq 5, BYD Sealion 7, Volvo EX40, and Volvo EC40.
