Tata owned Jaguar Land Rover plans to increase Indian sales figures by twofold
It is pretty evident that there has been a boost in the demand for the luxury cars and also SUVs in India. This boost of demand has also been for Tata owned Jaguar Land Rover. Land Rover is aiming high and has an aim to double up its Indian sales figures. Jaguar Land Rover is based in UK and has partnered with Tata Motors in the Indian market. Jaguar Land Rover is pretty keen to sell huge amount of its vehicles to rich Indians during 2011.

If figures are taken into consideration, in the year of 2010, Land Rover managed to sell around 891 units and this time around, this firm intends to sell 1800 units till March 2012. However, the Indian car market is loaded with luxury cars, such as Daimler AG Porsche, Audi cars, along with BMW AG. These cars have made India home for luxury cars and sales of such luxury cars are growing with a lightning speed. This has inspired Jaguar Land Rover to double its sales figures in India. Jaguar Land Rover was taken over by Tata Motors in the year of 2008 for a whopping $2.3 billion, which was paid to the famous Frc Motor Corporation. This firm is known for selling numerous SUVs and sedans in the Indian car market. These cars include Land Rover Discovery, Land Rover Freelander accompanied with Range Rover SUV and sedans like Jaguar XF, Jaguar XJ and Jaguar XK.

Jaguar has set its own manufacturing plant in Pune, where Land Rover Freelander 2 a SUV is being developed, which is being imported as completely knock down kits from its main plant located at Halewood plant, Liverpool in United Kingdom. Apart from above mentioned car, Land Rover also sells Land Rover Range Rover Evoque in India at the price of Rs. 35 Lakh, which is may look expensive but is worth every penny. Tata Motors is also going strong by the side, as it is planning to launch its brand new SUV, Tata Merlin very soon.
