    Dark edition SUVs are on the trend and Tata Motors joined the same by introducing the Curvv EV Dark Edition. This special edition is based on the top-spec Empowered Plus A variant of the electric SUV coupe. It’s finished in the Carbon Black hue and gets an all-black styling inside as well. It shares the same features as the standard version alongside one minor addition. 

    We’ve caught hold of some real-life images of the special edition, which is now available at a dealership. So, here’s a closer in-depth look at the Curvv EV Dark Edition for you, below.

    Front

    Tata Curvv EV Dark Edition

    Upfront, the Tata Curvv EV Dark Edition has the same blanked-off fascia as its regular model, along with connected LED DRLs and vertically stacked LED headlights. The chrome slats on the airdam are finished in black in the Dark Edition to gel along with the overall theme. Keen-eyed viewers can also spot the Tata logo being darkened to match the menacing look.

    The overall silhouette of the Curvv EV Dark Edition also gets the same treatment as the regular model, except for a few tweaks. It sits on 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels with aero covers. It also has flush-type door handles with illumination and body-coloured ORVMs. You can spot an ‘.EV’ badging on the front doors and a signature ‘#Dark’ badging on the front fender.

    At the rear, there are connected taillamps and a shark fin antenna overhead. The Tata logo is darkened and the skid plate is blacked out in this edition.

    The cabin welcomes you with an all-black theme with black upholstery. The front seats get a ‘#Dark’ embossing on the headrests. If you look closely towards the rear seats in the picture, you can spot rear window sunshades, which are an exclusive addition to this special edition. The rear occupants also get a centre armrest and rear AC vents for comfort. There’s also a panoramic sunroof, and the headliner is blacked out to match the overall theme.

    The layered dashboard is also finished in all black. It gets plenty of gloss black elements, giving it a premium look. The highlight of the dashboard is the free-standing 12.3-inch touchscreen and the 4-spoke steering wheel with a gloss black panel that displays the illuminated Tata logo. The controls for the ACis also touch-based, with two toggle switches for the fan speed and temperature that get a silver finish.

    Features & Safety

    The Tata Curvv EV Dark Edition gets all the features of the fully loaded model, with highlights like the 12.3-inch infotainment display, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, auto AC, ventilated front seats, a wireless phone charger, Vehicle-to-load (V2L) technology, and a 9-speaker JBL sound system.

    In terms of safety, it gets 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and a level-2 advanced driver assistance system (ADAS).

    The Tata Curvv EV Dark Edition is priced at Rs 22.24 lakh, while the regular Tata Curvv EV Empowered Plus A is priced at Rs 21.99 lakh. The special edition commands a premium of Rs 25,000.

    The Curvv EV rivals other compact SUVs, such as the Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6, MG ZS EV and the upcoming Maruti e Vitara.
