Skoda to Stretch the Yeti's Wheelbase for China
Rumors on the Skoda Yeti's facelift are there in the market for quite sometime now, and it was caught doing test runs in Europe and other parts of the world. In the meantime, Skoda has decided to launch an extended version of this crossover in China, which has been a hotspot for SUVs. The total SUVs sold in the Chinese market were 2.1 million and is expected to double by 2014. The scene is not so different in India too, demand for SUVs is growing huge with time, which has fascinated auto giants to come up with their utility vehicles.

Skoda is one of those big players, which is working on the extended wheelbase version of their existing crossover, the Skoda Yeti. The new Skoda Yeti will have a bigger wheelbase this time, which will make it more spacious and comfortable. The platform has been said to be the same, on which the existing model is built. The existing Skoda Yeti has been not so very successful, at least in the Indian market, probably because of the Indian people's choice of grabbing big SUVs, so we are hoping it to come to Indian shores too once it is launched in China. And who can deny that Skoda has to still work very hard to increase its market share in the SUV segment.
