Skoda Kushaq 1.5-litre Turbo Petrol Deliveries To Commence From August 2021

Skoda India Director -- Sales, Service Marketing, Zac Hollis, has confirmed that deliveries of the upcoming Skoda Kushaq 1.0-litre TSI variants will commence on the launch date itself, June 28. Deliveries of the 1.5-litre TSI variants, on the other hand, will begin from the first week of August 2021.
Unofficial bookings are already underway while official bookings will commence on the launch date. The Kushaq has already been revealed in its entirety, while we await its prices.
The Skoda Kushaq features 10-inch touchscreen infotainment with connected car technology, LED headlamps, front ventilated seats, a two-spoke steering wheel, electric sunroof, wireless charging, and cruise control. Safety is covered by up to six airbags, electronic stability control (standard), front and rear parking sensors, and a rear parking camera.
The Kushaq is powered by two turbo-petrol engines: 110PS/178Nm 1.0-litre and 150PS/250Nm 1.5-litre. The latter comes only on the top-end Style variant. While a 6-speed manual transmission is standard for both engines, the 1.0-litre unit gets an optional 6-speed torque converter and the 1.5-litre unit gets a 7-speed DSG (dual-clutch automatic).

We expect Skoda to price the Kushaq between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with the Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster, Nissan Kicks, and Volkswagen Taigun.
