    • Triber launch expected in early August 2019 with prices between Rs 5 lakh andz Rs 7 lakh.

The upcoming Renault Triber compact crossover MPV that made its debut in India has now been showcased in Indonesia ahead of the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Showz (GIIAS) 2019. It is near-identical to the India-spec model except for the wheels.

Renault showcased the Triber in India with 15-inch wheels wearing 185/65 tyres, but no alloys will be on offered with any variant in our country. Instead, it has flex wheels that imitate alloy wheels in terms of appearance and design. The carmaker will however, offer alloys in the Triber’s official accessory list (check out the picture above). The Indonesia-spec Triber meanwhile was showcased with 15-inch twin 5-spoke black alloys.

The rest of the Triber remains the same in terms of the modular three-seat layout, interior theme and dashboard layout with the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It also gets a digital instrument cluster with a 3.5-inch display in the middle and up to four airbags. The Indonesia-spec Triber will also be powered by the same 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual that makes 76PS of power and 96Nm of torque.

Renault is expected to launch the Triber in India around early August with an expected price range of Rs 5 lakh to Rs 7 lakh. Here it will be positioned above the Datsun GO+ but under the likes of the Lodgy and Ertiga. Price-wise, it will be a competitor in the mid-size hatchback segment where it will rival the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Grand i10 and Ford Figo.
