    Renault hits it high with the Sport RS 01 concept

    Renault has showcased its racing car concept, Renault Sport RS 01 at the ongoing 2016 Delhi Auto Expo. The Renault Sport RS 01 car is inspired by the world of concept cars and is designed for exceptional downforce. The concept car reflects the best of Renaultsport expertise with a carbon monocoque frame that weighs less than 1,100 kg and an engine that develops more than 500 hp, enabling the car to reach a top speed of over 300 kmph.

    The RS 01 features a dynamic design in the front with a prominent Renault logo and signature LED daytime-running lights positioned along the brake cooling scoops. The vehicle is 2,000 mm wide and 1,116 mm tall. Other signature features include LED tail lights, twin exhaust, DeZir concept inspired lines, 380 mm carbon discs from PFC Brakes with six-piston callipers etc.

    The Sport RS 01 is powered by a 3.8-litre V6 twin-turbo engine, which is prepared by Nismo and derived from the Nissan GT-R. The engine produces a maximum power of over 500 hp with maximum torque of more than 600 Nm.

    The engine is mated to a longitudinal seven-speed gearbox and comes with steering-wheel paddles. The clutch was developed specially by ZF Race Engineering for the Sport RS 01 and features an anti-stall function and is designed for an extended service life.
