Peugeot mulls a compact SUV based on 208 hatchback

Compact SUVs seem to be the hottest among the lot of late. Almost every car manufacturer is running behind to develop a compact SUV and Peugeot is not the one behind to join  the race. Multiple times tested model which could not make it to the Auto Expo is now known to undergo a transformation to emrge out in an SUV disguise. Well, this doesn’t mean that it will drop its original skin, which is a hatchback through and through. What the car manufacturer seems to adopt is by the sidelines of a hatchback, to tap the growing demand for the compact SUVs in the market. So, we suppose it is not wrong to assume  that Peugeot will use the same pricing strategy  as Ford EcoSport or Renault Duster which sits in the same price bracket for the proposed Peugeot 208 SUV.

While this is the latest update straight from the French car manufacturer, the Peugeot Citroen did not disappoint anybody at the Auto Expo. In fact, the crowd in scoops are found gathered at the Peugeot’s stall to check out what weapons the auto giant has in store for the Indian car market to make an impact in its second go. Peugeot 508: Agreed that the sedan had been spotted numerous times during test runs. Shunning all the camouflage as a test mule, the Peugeot 508 sedan is the very picture of freshness, which is basically what the consumers in India never give up upon.

The all-diesel engine of 1.6 L powers the car and all ready to take upon any terrain on Indian roads, not to let anybody down especially after the extensive tests the Peugeot Citroen models are put through for unfailing adaptability to Indian conditions.
