Nissan Teana 250XL available at an enthralling price of Rs 17.99 lakh

Nissan Teana, the premium sedan from the Japanese car manufacturer is now available at a discounted price of Rs 17.99 lakh for its base variant at a Nissan dealership in Pune. Is it the low sales that forced the dealer to announce such a lucrative cash discount?  Or is this basically a part of year- end sales like other car manufacturers that the Nissan dealership has doled out ?  There is literally a difference of Rs 4 lakh between the two prices and here’s a brief review on Nissan Teana which could help us understand why this massive cash discount.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the car as such. The car fares pretty high on safety. All the safety measures like airbags to the ABS and EBD are all included in the car. Looks-wise , the car is unparalleled. The premium sedan houses a majestic 2.5 L diesel powertrain under the hood generating some really impressive power and torque numbers. The 182 KW peak power and 228 Nm of torque are class leading in the D-segment sedans. If one can point out to, then it is the price alone that seems to pull the sales down. However, Nissan India too cannot pretty much do anything about this.

Imported as a CBU, the premium Nissan sedan automatically attracts the high price. But, the  price is not the point high on the mind for Nissan at the moment. But, what does bug the auto major presently, is the low sales numbers. As low as 18 units were sold during the month of November. So, this certainly calls for a straight cash discount especially now that the year-end has approached.  Hopefully, this will push the sales of Nissan Teana to atleast some extent, if not any miraculous change.
