Nissan Evalia Launch to Happen in August
After registering the tremendous growth in the months of February and March, Indian auto industry witnessed a slow down due to multiple reasons including hike in excise duty, petrol price hike and overall economical slow down. But one thing which has been constant was the launching of facelifts and new cars, especially the utility vehicles. We have seen the refreshed versions of Mahindra Xylo, Toyota Innova. And then came this year's biggest launch Maruti Suzuki's much awaited MPV, the Ertiga. Other on the cards are Chevrolet Enjoy and Nissan Evalia, which too are to launch in the coming months.

Many rumours and speculations made about the launch of the Nissan Evalia, and when CarDekho contacted its sources at Nissan, they said that the launch would take place in the month of August. Earlier codenamed as NV200, the Nissan Evalia was showcased at this year's Auto Expo held in Delhi. Since then, it was considered to be a threat for other MPVs and MUVs including the market leader Toyota Innova and now Ertiga, which is doing tremendously well too will have to face the heat.
The Coming Nissan Evalia will share the similar 1.5-litre dCi engine, which powers the Nissan Sunny, Micra, Fluence and various other Nissan-Renault vehicles. It will be producing the maximum of 85bhp, which makes it equivalent in power as the Ertiga, but when it comes to spaciousness, it scores over many of the existing MPVs. The Nissan Evalia is expected to be priced betweem Rs 8-10 lakh, which too gives it a competitive edge.
