Mercedes-Benz Reveals Star Ease Service Packages For 2017 E-Class LWB

Mercedes-Benz claims the lowest cost of ownership for the new E in its segment with the Star Ease packages, with a service term of up to 10 years! 

Mercedes-Benz has launched the long-wheelbase E-Class in the country on February 28 at an aggressive price point of Rs 56.15 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The new E-Class comes with an added advantage of nearly 50 per cent extra rear cabin space compared to its rivals and the model it replaces in the country, courtesy the new long-wheelbase version. With the launch of the new E, Mercedes-Benz has also introduced the Star Ease service package for it. For the uninitiated, the Star Ease service packages were introduced in the country last year.

The German automaker claims the new E comes with the lowest cost of ownership. The Star Ease service packages offer two options, namely, Compact and Compact Plus. Out of the two, only the former is available for unlimited kilometres. However, both can be had for up to 10 years. 

The Compact packages cover issues such as replacement of the engine and transmission oil along with brake fluid and coolant. The replacement of oil, air, cabin and transmission filter is also included in the package. The Compact Plus packages, apart from offering all these, additionally come with the replacement of wear-and-tear parts such as wipers, brake pads and discs, among others. It also offers wheel alignment and balancing. Moreover, electronic diagnosis is standard in both. The standard Compact package (two years) for the new E-Class starts at Rs 64,700 for the petrol variant and Rs 94,400 for the diesel variant.
