Mercedes-Benz CLA Baby Saloon to Debut at Detroit Motor Show
The Mercedes-Benz CLS based CLA baby saloon has been in the news recently and is destined to be showcased at the upcoming Detroit Motor Show next month. This new baby version of the CLS has been developed primarily for American and Chinese markets where small saloons are in heavy demand.

The front wheel drive saloon is much cheaper than its elder brother – the Mercedes CLS and comes with the AWD option as well. Apart from the AWD option, the CLA will also come with the range topping AMG model; the CLA 45 AMG housing a 350bhp 2.0-litre turbo charged engine connected to a 7-speed DCT twin clutch transmission.
Daimler recently issued its own spy images of the CLA testing on-track prior to its official launch at the Detroit Motor Show in January. The CLA compact sedan is expected to be priced starting at Rs. 16.52 lakh.
